Description
Hillcrest and The Dolls House are two cottages located in Castle Hedingham, dating from the 17th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. They are constructed from timber framing and plaster, with some areas featuring painted brick facing. The cottages have a red plain tiled roof with two levels and a central red brick chimney stack. The buildings are one storey with attics on the left side, which includes two 20th-century flat-headed dormers, while the right side has two storeys with one three-light casement window. The ground floor features three three-light casement windows and two recessed vertically boarded doors. The windows and doors on the left are adorned with moulded drip hoods above, while the right door and window have pentice boards.
