Description
Nos 11 and 12 Pye Corner are a pair of semi-detached houses built in the early 19th century, incorporating some earlier elements. The front is made of red brick, while the rear is rendered brick with some fragmentary timber framing. They have a plain clay tile roof and central stacks at both the front and rear, with the front stack featuring four round shafts and a cogged cornice. The houses are two storeys high and consist of four bays. The front façade includes central and side pilaster strips, 16-pane sash windows with wedge lintels and key blocks, horizontal sliding sashes for the basement, and 20th-century doors. The rear has 6-pane sash windows. The interior of house 12 has been much altered, featuring a softwood side-purlin roof with queen struts and a brick-lined cellar with reused oak beams. The interior of house 11 has not been inspected. These houses are prominently located at the top end of Pye Corner, closing the view from the east and forming a group with another building at number 13.
