Description

Rose Cottage is a cottage dating from the 17th or 18th century, with later and 20th-century alterations. It is timber-framed and has rendered plaster walls. The roof is red plain tiles, with two gabled dormers. Red brick chimney stacks have been restored on the right and left sides of the building. The cottage is one storey high with attics. It has two windows, which are small-paned vertically sliding sashes in moulded surrounds. A central panelled door is flanked by two lights, and has a moulded surround and frieze, topped with a flat canopy supported by moulded brackets. The group value context of this listing is that it contributes to the character of the area.
