Description
Yeomans is a house that dates back to the 15th century or earlier, with additions from the 15th and 16th centuries and later alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and has parget plastered walls, topped with a red tiled roof. There is a wing at the rear and red brick chimney stacks on the right, left, and center. The house has two storeys, featuring a three-window range on the first floor and a four-window range of three-light casements on the ground floor. The central entrance has a 20th-century board door, flanked by plain pilasters and topped with a segmental head canopy supported by brackets. Inside, the property showcases much exposed timber framing, including stop-chamfered bridging joists, original mullion and shutter slots, and a restored fireplace that is back to back.
