Description

The Lucy Dee is a mid-19th century house and shop situated on Black Buoy Hill in Wivenhoe. The building is constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond, with three storeys and two bays. It has a ridged and gabled roof covered in slates. Two inset red brick chimneys rise from the roof. Brick corbels are visible beneath the eaves, and the windows on the first and second storeys are topped with segmental stucco arches. The second storey features two pairs of sash windows, while the first storey has two pairs of French doors, set behind cast iron railings and a balcony. On the ground floor is a shop front with a door on the left side. There are two windows above the shop with a panelled stallriser below, and an entrance situated between them.
