Description

The barn to the west of Peakes dates from around 1600. It is timber framed and features black weatherboards, with a ridged and gabled roof made of corrugated asbestos. The eastern frame has a side-girt design and consists of two sections: the older section has arch bracing, while the newer southern section includes tie-beams supported by hanging-knees. The barn also has side purlins and collars.
