Description

The Old Rectory is a mid-19th century house located on Aldham Rectory Road. It is a two-storey house with attics, constructed of gault brick with stone-coped gables and a roof covered in red fish-scale tiles. The house is arranged around an L-shaped plan with a double range along the front. The main facade is three bays long, with a projecting bay to the right. The windows are in a neo-Jacobean style, featuring four-centred lights under straight heads, with labels fitted with sets of four-pane sashes between hollow-chamfered gault brick mullions. A gabled dormer is centrally located on the front roof slope, and there are four gault brick chimney stacks, each with three octagonal shafts. The gables are topped with fall finials.
