Description

Wagon Lodge to the north of Aldham Hall is a 17th-century structure aligned east to west. It is three bays long and was originally open on all sides, but is now clad with vertical weatherboards. The roof features a ridge and gabled ends clad in corrugated iron. It consists of five bays with lapped collars and flat oak rafters that are halved at their apexes. The walls include arch-braces, posts without jowls, tie-beams on hanging-knees, and are secured with forelock bolts.
