Description

Waggon lodge, built in the early 19th century, is located approximately 90 metres south-west of Fairstead Lodge. It is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped with a slate roof. The structure features six bays facing north and is a single storey with a hipped roof. The open side is supported by posts that stand on concrete and brick bases. A fascia board is profiled to create six segmental arches. Inside, there is primary straight bracing and bolted knees connecting to the tiebeams, along with a raking queen strut roof.
