Description
Waggon lodge, located approximately 40 metres south of Cressing Temple Farmhouse, dates from the 18th century. It is timber framed and weatherboarded, with a thatched roof. The structure consists of 8 bays aligned northeast to southwest and is open on the northwest side. It features primary straight bracing, face-halved and bladed scarfs in the wallplates, bolted knees to the tiebeams and front wallplate, and a clasped purlin roof. The plinth is made of red brick in English bond and stands about 0.50 metre high. This building is included for its group value.
