Description

Vine Cottage is a 15th-century cottage located on Boxted Cooks Hill. The building features a timber frame and is plastered, topped with a thatched roof that has a ridged, fly-hip design. Inside, there is a crown-post with decorative capital and base. The existing windows are small pane casements, with some additions that extend in length and are in wing-form. A red brick chimney is situated near the street end, and there is one gabled dormer. The ground storey has various casements, and there are traces of guilloche plaster visible under the eaves.
