Description

Number 56 on West Stockwell Street, which also includes No 2 Walter's Yard, is a 16th-century building with two storeys and attics, featuring tiled roofs. The east front has two gables, with the north gable being smaller. The upper storey projects at two different levels and has a moulded bressumer on the main block. There is an extension at the rear dating from around 1700. The house has been reconditioned and now has modern windows. Numbers 53 to 62, which are consecutive, form a group with this building.
