Description

Nos 11 and 12 on West Stockwell Street are 18th century buildings with red brick fronts, standing two storeys high with attics. They feature two gabled dormers and tiled roofs. The front has a four-window range of double hung sashes, although two of these are blocked, and the windows include glazing bars. An inscription on the front notes that "In these houses lived Jane and Ann Taylor, Authors of original poems for infant minds 1796-1811." These buildings are part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 13 in consecutive order.
