Description
St Martin's House is a large red brick house from the 18th century, dated 1734, and likely designed by James Deane. It has two storeys and attics, with tiled roofs and two hipped dormers on the north side. The front features a grey brick panelled parapet topped by a heavy wooden cornice. There is a six-window range of double hung sashes, with glazing bars on the ground floor windows. The doorway has a rusticated architrave, a six-panel door, and a fanlight, accessed by a flight of steps with handrails. Inside, there is notable plasterwork above the staircase. At the rear, there is a garden room supported by pillars.
