Description

62 West Stockwell Street is a building constructed around 1600, with a refronting that took place in the late 18th century. The southern part of the house is a late 17th-century addition. It has two storeys and is timber-framed and plastered, with tiled roofs. The front is rough cast and features a three-window range of tall double-hung sashes with glazing bars. The upper windows are adorned with curved ironwork balcony railings. There is a plain Tuscan doorcase with deep panelled reveals. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 53 to 62, which are consecutive.
