Description

The Limes is a 17th to 18th century timber-framed and plastered house that was refronted in the early 19th century. The front features early 20th century panel pargetting in a 17th century style. A wing extends to the north at the rear. The building has two storeys and a four-window range, with double-hung sashes that include glazing bars. There is a six-panel door, with the upper two panels glazed, and a doorcase that has a moulded architrave and cornice supported by shaped brackets. The roof is slate. The Limes is part of a group that includes Nos 26, 30 to 42 (even), and Nos 29 to 39 (odd) and 43.
