Description
Millstone Cottage is a medieval timber-framed and plastered 'Wealdon' house, likely dating from the 15th century, located on the north side of The Street in Little Waltham. The front features 20th-century pargetting, and the building has projecting wings at both the east and west ends, with the west wing jettied on the first storey. The roof spans the central section and is supported by curved braces. The cottage has two storeys and irregular windows, with various 20th-century casements. The adjacent No 35 has a boarded door. At the rear, there is an early 19th-century block that is two storeys high, featuring a four-window range with metal casements and "Gothic" arched lights. The roof is double-pitched and tiled. Millstone Cottage is part of a group with Nos 29 to 39 (odd), 43, and Nos 26 to 42 (even).
