Description

28 Water Street is a small timber-framed and plastered building dating from the 15th to 16th century, featuring a tiled roof. Originally designed as a Wealdon type house, it has been modified with the hall range jettied out to align with the wings. The building has two storeys, with the upper storey jettied on exposed joists, which includes two casement windows and a central doorway for a loft storehouse. The ground storey features a bar and a transom leaded casement window with a hinged drop shutter.
