Description

Nos 25 and 26 Water Street are part of a range of cottages known locally as The Flemish Weavers Cottages, although there is no evidence that Flemish Weavers ever lived in Lavenham. This building dates from the 18th century and features a timber-framed and plastered structure that continues from the main block of the adjacent house, now Nos 23 and 24. The timber-framing is exposed on the front, and the roofs are tiled. The building is one storey high with attics, and it has small casement windows along with three gabled dormers.
