Description
Gladwins Farmhouse is a 15th century or earlier timber-framed and plastered house located on Vinesse Road in Little Horkesley. The building originally consisted of three bays and is now plastered with a jettied front wall on the east side, featuring one knee at the north end, which is clad in black weatherboarding in the gable. The roof is ridged and gabled, covered with peg tiles, and there is a modern chimney located to the west of the ridge at the north end. An extension has been added to the south, which does not have a jetty and features matched claddings. The north range includes a pair of two-pane casements on the left and two pairs of three-pane over six-pane sashes in exposed boxes. The ground storey has matching sashes, as does the southern extension, which has two sashes above one.
