Description

Pond Farmhouse is a 17th-century house situated on a possible moated site, built on a T-shaped plan. The main two-storey range runs east to west, with a painted brick end and timber-framed and plastered sides. The roof has a pitched ridge and gables covered in peg tiles; a red brick chimney is on the east gable, and a larger stack rises from the ridge. The south elevation features a series of four sash windows with glazing bars on the first floor. The ground floor has two casement windows to the left, a three-part sash window centrally, and a casement to the right. A single-storey range with a peg-tiled ridged and gabled roof extends south, displaying three heavy 17th-century casement windows with a transom. To the right of this is an 18th-century six-panel door within a case, topped by a hood supported by trilobed brackets.
