Description
Quarnams is a house dating from the 15th century, featuring a timber frame and plastered exterior with a red plain tiled roof and a rear range. The building stands two storeys high and has a long wall jetty at the front. It includes five leaded casement windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor. There is an off-centre left doorway with a 4-centred arch, square head, carved spandrels, and a plank and muntin door. The house has external chimneystacks located off-centre to the left and rear of the ridge. Inside, it is said to contain open fireplaces with moulded beams and moulded brick sides, along with traces of plaster decoration. A carved bracket can be found at the head of a storey post, and there are moulded bridging and ceiling joists throughout.
