Description
The Royal Hospital School, built around 1925 to 1933 by Buckland and Heywood, is a house constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, with hanging tiles on the first floor and a hipped dark red plain tiled roof. It features external stacks on the left and right, with the left stack supported by shaped stone offset brackets above the eaves. The building is two storeys high and has a symmetrical facade with three windows. A central doorway is located beneath a small open pedimented porch, which is supported by timber columns and has pilaster strips at the rear. The door consists of six raised and fielded panels, with a small vertically set oval light on either side. The left and right sides have tripartite horned sash windows with glazing bars, while the first floor has horned sashes; the outer windows have four panes by four panes, and the central window has three panes by four panes.
