Royal Hospital School

Nos 31 and 32 of the Royal Hospital School are a pair of houses built around 1925 to 1933 by Buckland and Heywood. They are constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with hanging tiles on the first floor and feature a central band. The houses have a hipped dark red plain tiled roof with central and external stacks that have small stone offsets.

The buildings are two storeys high and have a six-window range. The first-floor windows are small paned vertically sliding horned sashes, with the outer windows of each house consisting of four panes by four panes, and the central window having three panes by four panes. There are angled bays on the ground floor to the left and right, which also feature horned sashes with glazing bars.

In the centre of each house, at the second and fifth bays, are doors with six raised and fielded panels, surrounded by moulded surrounds and flat canopies supported by fluted brackets. There are attached walls on the left and right that connect to adjoining staff accommodation.
