Description

No. 216 on Moulsham Street is a building dating from around 1700. It is timber framed, featuring a later brick front and a modern shop front on the ground floor. The structure has two storeys with attics and a three-window arrangement on the first floor. The central window contains eight-pane hornless sashes that are thinly barred, while the side windows have six-pane hornless sashes with marginal sashes and mullions. All windows are adorned with stucco architraves and moulded hoods. The parapets are coped with moulded stone slabs. The roof is gambrelled and covered with peg tiles, featuring three flat-topped dormers. There is a red brick chimney stack located at the south gable.
