Description

Nos 40 and 41 on Moulsham Street are 16th century, two-storey houses built with a timber frame and rendered exterior. The building consists of four bays, with exposed studs visible on the north elevation. The front elevation features a long wall that jetties out, supported by modern shop windows below and a range of five modern windows above. The roof is peg-tiled, ridged, and gabled, featuring a crown post. An eastern wing extends from the main structure, forming an L-shape, and also jetties out to the north.
