Description
No. 1 Luces Lane is a house dating from the early 19th century, though it may have an earlier origin. It is constructed of red brick and features a red plain tiled roof. The building has external red brick chimney stacks on both the left and right sides, which are stepped and have banded capping. The house is two storeys high and has a three-window range on the first floor, consisting of vertically sliding sashes with horns. The ground floor has a two-window range of three-light casements with transoms and soldier arches. The central entrance features a recessed six-panelled door with two lights in a plain surround, topped by a semi-circular brick arch. The tympanum above the door is filled with herringbone brickwork.
