Description
No. 73 Stafford Street is a house built in the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, with the right-hand gable end rendered. The roof is plain tile and the building has two storeys and an attic. It features a rendered plinth and a dentil brick eaves cornice. There are integral brick end stacks and a brick ridge stack located just off-centre to the left.
The house has a pair of gabled eaves dormers that contain 2-light wooden casements. The façade consists of three bays with 16-pane glazing bar sash windows, which have painted stone cills and lintels. The central first-floor window is a round-arched small-paned fixed window with two central opening panes. The central door has four raised and fielded panels, a radial fanlight, and a doorcase made up of pilaster strips with raised panels, dies, a frieze, and a triangular pediment; the frieze may have been altered in the late 20th century. The interior has not been inspected.
