Description
Fishers is a house located in Castle Hedingham, featuring 18th century elements but likely having an earlier origin. The building is timber framed and plastered, with a painted brick plinth and red brick facing on the right side. It has a red plain tiled roof and external red brick chimney stacks, with the central stack shared with No. 38. The house is two storeys high and has a wooden modillion eaves cornice.
On the first floor, there is a central range of three windows, which are 18th century small paned vertically sliding sashes, while the ground floor has a two-window range of 18th century two-light small paned vertically sliding sashes, all set in moulded surrounds. The central entrance features a six-panelled door with two lights, surrounded by moulded surrounds, a plain frieze, a moulded pediment, and dentils on the soffits and cornice. Additionally, there is a moulded rainwater head.
