Description

The Toby Jug Restaurant is a house and shop that dates from the 18th century to early 19th century. It features a plastered exterior and is roofed with slate and handmade red plain tiles. The main part of the building faces west-southwest and has rear additions. It stands three storeys tall. The ground floor has a 20th-century shopfront with a central glazed door. On the first floor, there are two early 19th-century sash windows with 16 lights and crown glass, one of which has a moulded architrave. The second floor contains two 20th-century sash windows with 12 lights and horizontal panes. The front pitch of the roof is shallow and slated, while the rear pitch is steeper and tiled, featuring one 20th-century casement window in a lean-to dormer.
