Description
67 High Street is a house with a shop, likely dating from the 18th century or earlier, and remodelled in the early 19th century. It features solid rendered walls, and the roof is not visible from the street. The building's plan has been altered; it was originally one room wide and probably three rooms deep. It stands three storeys high with a two-window range. The ground storey has a late 19th or early 20th century shop front, with all but the entablature rebuilt in the late 20th century. The second storey includes two wooden canted bay windows with lean-to leaded roofs; the sashes feature upper centre panes that are six-paned with two-paned side-lights. The third storey has six-paned upper sashes. The front is finished with a tall parapet that has a plain stringcourse at the base and plain coping. Inside, the building has been much altered, but retains a plain 18th century two-panelled door and old roof-trusses, of which only the feet are visible.
