Description

Nos. 1 and 3 on Burrows Road is a house dating from the early 17th century, which includes remnants of an earlier structure and was altered in the early 19th century. It is timber framed, with a plastered and weatherboarded exterior, and has a roof covered with handmade red plain tiles. The building has two storeys and features a three-window range of 19th-century three-light casements. There are two small doorcases with pediments and moulded architraves. Inside, the original timber frame is visible, along with a 17th-century staircase and doors from the 16th and 18th centuries. An 18th-century corner cupboard is also present.
