Description
Collins Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1600, with alterations made in the 19th century. It features a timber frame that is mostly plastered, with some sections faced in red brick laid in Flemish bond. The roof is covered with handmade red clay tiles. The house has four bays facing southeast and includes an axial chimney stack located in the second bay from the left, which creates a lobby entrance. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing with single-storey lean-to extensions on either side. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range of 19th-century sash windows with marginal lights, along with a 19th-century gabled porch made of red brick. The front and part of the right side of the house are faced with red brick featuring rusticated quoins. An inspection of the interior was refused in June 1984.
