Description
Magnolia House is a house from the 18th century located in Pebmarsh. It is constructed of gault brick and features red brick at the rear, both in Flemish bond, with a roof made of handmade red clay tiles. The building consists of two parallel ranges facing southeast, with an internal stack at the left end of the front range and an external stack of red brick at the right end. There is also a central stack in the rear range and a single-storey rear extension on the right side. The house is two storeys tall and has a two-window range of 18th century or early 19th century sashes with 20 lights, plus one additional sash over the door with 12 lights. The central entrance features a six-panel door with glazed top panels, set in a porch supported by two fluted columns and two engaged columns, topped with a flat roof that was formerly pedimented. The plain parapet has stone coping. A straight joint in the gault brick indicates that some parts were not built at the same time, with the left return wall being faced later than the front, and the external stack in red brick being built outside the gault brick of the right return wall.
