Description

Lawrence's Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 16th century or earlier, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed with a timber frame and has a plastered exterior, topped with a red plain tiled roof. The building features three gabled dormers with 19th-century casements and a large red brick chimney stack. The house is laid out in an L-plan and has one storey plus attics. It has a three-window range of small paned casements and an off-centre four-panelled door with two lights, which is sheltered by a flat canopy supported by brackets. Inside, notable features include stop-chamfered bridging and ceiling joists, as well as a restored back-to-back inglenook fireplace with a straight mantel beam above.
