Description
Edey's Farmhouse is a house that dates back to the 15th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It is timber framed and features four red brick pilasters. The first floor is clad in hanging tiles, while the ground floor is plastered. The roof is hipped and covered with red plain tiles, with a gablet on the left side and a central catslide dormer. The building has two storeys, with a two-window range on the first floor and a four-window range on the ground floor, primarily consisting of 19th-century three-light casements with glazing bars. There is an off-centre red brick porch with a gabled roof made of glazed red tiles. The heavy timber studs are exposed below the eaves. The front door is a 20th-century panelled design. It is reputed to be a hall house, featuring a crown post roof with a moulded tie beam, arch braces, and chamfered wall struts.
