Description

Yew Tree Farmhouse is a house dating back to the 15th century, with alterations made between the 16th and early 20th centuries. It is timber framed and has a red brick ground floor, a tile hung first floor, and an exposed large panel frame with tension braces. The right return has plaster infill, while the rear outshots are constructed from sandstone, red brick and tile. The roof is tiled, with a half-hip design, featuring a stack in the centre right and a projecting stack at the rear right. Originally a hall house, the house has a plinth, partly stone, with a jetty to the right return. The first floor has three two-light wooden casement windows, and the ground floor features two early 20th century canted bay windows with glazing bar sashes. A central hipped porch with a panelled door provides access.
