Description
Yew Tree Cottage is a house that dates from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber framed and rendered, featuring an exposed frame with plaster infill on the right side and tile hanging on the left side. The roof is plain tiled and has a half-hipped design to the right, with a cluster of stepped stacks on the centre left and an additional stack at the rear right. The cottage is two storeys high and likely has its origins as a hall house. On the first floor, there are four wooden casements, alternating between two and three lights, while the ground floor has two three-light casements and one two-light casement on the right. A rib and stud door is located at the centre left, set within a brick gabled porch. There is also a leaded garret window on the right side and a catslide outshot at the rear.
