Description
The Mill House is a house that dates from the 15th or 16th century, with later alterations and additions. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with double range red plain tiled roofs and featuring two red brick chimney stacks. The gables face Fish Street. The building has two storeys and attics, with a three-window range that includes vertically sliding sashes and casements with glazing bars, as well as a central 19th-century two-light casement window on the first floor. The entrance features a central panelled door with two lights, and there is a hipped porch supported by chamfered posts and adorned with an ornamental cornice. Inside, much of the timber frame is exposed, showcasing heavy cambered tie beams on the ground floor, along with a good quality side purlin roof.
