Description

Number 10 (Dolphin Cottage), Number 12, and Number 14 (The Beehive) are three cottages dating from the 17th or 18th century, or possibly earlier, and which have a 19th-century brick facing. The cottage at Number 14 has a forward-gabled brick wing. Originally timber-framed, the cottages are red brick faced and have a red plain tiled gambrel roof with three catslide dormers, each containing 2-light casements with central glazing bars. Off-centre chimney stacks are positioned to the left and right. The cottages are one storey in height with attics, and feature a three-window range of small-paned vertically sliding sash windows. Two vertically boarded doors are on the right-hand side. A three-panelled door with a top light is located to the left, along with a red tiled trellis porch. A flat-headed three-light bay window is set into the left gable, and was previously used as a Beehive in the earlier part of the 20th century.
