Description

This is a barn located approximately 200 metres south of Eyston Smyths Farmhouse. It dates from the early 15th century, with a roof that was replaced in the 18th century. The barn is timber framed and covered with weatherboarding, topped with a corrugated iron roof. It has an aisle and consists of three bays, along with an extension. Notable features include a bridled scarf joint at the top plate, hanging knees supporting the tie beams, and a roof structure that includes side purlins and a ridge board.
