Description
This barn, located approximately 60 metres east-south-east of Martin's Farmhouse, dates back to the early 16th century and was extended in the 18th century. It features a timber frame that is weatherboarded and has a roof made of corrugated iron. The barn consists of four bays running east to west, with a midstrey located to the north in the third bay from the eastern end. There is also a two-bay extension to the west from the 18th century. The roof is hipped at the eastern end and half-hipped at the western end. The structure includes jowled posts, heavy studding, and arched braces supporting the tiebeams. The original building has a crownpost roof, with plain crownposts and thin arched braces connecting to the collar-purlin.
