House, now part of shop. Late C14 and early C16, altered in C20. Timber framed, partly clad in red brick in Flemish bond, partly plastered, roofed with handmade red plain tiles. The right bay is the remainder of a C14 open hall. The left part with a higher roof is early C16, with a cartway in the left bay, and a long-wall jetty, underbuilt. 2 storeys. Ground floor, 3 C20 bow shop windows. First floor, one C19 casement, one C20 casement, one late C19 sash of 4 lights. No door. Much of the frame is exposed internally on the first floor. Crownpost roof. (Measured drawings of the frame in Wherein I Dwell, Earls Colne WEA, 1983, 42 and 47-8).
