This building is a byre located approximately 50 metres north-west of Bower Hall, dating from the 16th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and weatherboarding, with some sections filled in with breeze blocks. The roof is made of corrugated iron and the structure consists of four bays. The walls feature halved bracing, and the roof is supported by side purlins. The hanging knees to the tie beams are a later addition, and there is a bladed scarf joint at the top plate.
