Description

Mumfords is a 17th century timber-framed and plastered house with two storeys. It features 20th century casement windows and a thatched roof, which is complemented by a red brick chimney stack with a diagonal shaft on a rectangular base. There is a 20th century addition at the west end, known as Mumfords Cottage. Mumfords, along with the adjoining Layfield and the Red House, forms a group of buildings.
