House, and range of cottages to rear. C18, altered in C20. Rendered brick, roofed with handmade red clay tiles. Primrose Cottage (formerly Hill House Cottage), is of rectangular plan facing NW, with an internal stack at the left end and an external stack at the right end. 2 storeys. 2-window range of late C19 sashes of 8 lights. Late C19 door with gabled canopy on pierced brackets. Nos. 1 and 2, Hill House Cottages comprise a line of 5 cottages to the rear, nor combined, with entrance elevation to SW, and 2 axial stacks. 2 storeys. The more conspicuous NE elevation, facing Town Hall Square, has 4 horizontally sliding sashes of 8 lights and one C20 casement on the ground floor, and on the first floor 2 similar sashes and 2 C20 casements. Originally they were of one storey with attics, raised to 2 storeys in early C19.
