Description
The Bell Public House is a building that dates back to the 17th century and was extended in the 19th century. It features a timber frame that is plastered, with a roof made of handmade red clay tiles, while the extension is constructed of painted brick in Flemish bond. The building has two bays facing northwest and includes an external rear stack. There is a 19th-century crosswing at the right end and a long 19th-century extension at the rear of the left end. The structure is two storeys high and has a three-window range of late 19th-century sashes with marginal lights that are arranged irregularly. The entrance has a 20th-century door set in a simple doorcase with a shallow hood supported by scrolled brackets from the 19th century. The gable of the crosswing features pierced bargeboards.
