Description

A late 18th or early 19th century timber-framed and plastered house, potentially incorporating an earlier building, is located at 6 and 8 Bradford Street. The property has two storeys and cellars. The front elevation is panelled, with a pebbledashed ground storey and plastered first storey. It features a four-window range of double-hung sash windows; the upper sashes have glazing bars set within flush cased frames. Two doorways are present, each with a shouldered architrave, a pulvinated frieze, and a pediment. Two gabled wings extend to the rear, eastward. The roofs are tiled. The listed buildings from number 4 to number 20 on the east side, and from number 19 to number 41 on the west side, form a group with Bawn Cottage, Bawn Close.
