Description
This is a late 18th- and early 19th-century timber-framed and plastered house. It has two storeys, attic space, and cellars. The front facing east has three window bays, while the south front has two. The windows are double-hung sashes with glazing bars, set within flush-cased frames. Small windows are located in the gables to light the attic space. A central doorway is framed by a wooden doorcase featuring Doric pilasters with fluting, a triglyph frieze, and a cornice. Stone steps lead up to the door. The roof is tiled and has a double-pitched profile. The listed buildings from number 24 to 56A on the east side form a group with those from numbers 37 to 89 (including numbers 57, 61, and 61A) on the west side.
