Description
The Angel Inn is an 18th-century plastered brick house that incorporates parts of an earlier building. It has two storeys, attics, and cellars. The façade features a four-window range with double-hung sash windows in flush cased frames. The first-storey windows include glazing bars, while the ground storey at the south end has a shallow bow with two windows, along with a fascia and cornice that extends above the doorway. The roof is tiled. The northern part of the building has a higher ridge level than the southern part and includes two gabled dormers. Inside, the first storey reveals exposed beams and an original door. The Angel Inn is part of a group of listed buildings that includes Nos 24 to 56A on the east side and Nos 37 to 89, along with Nos 57, 61, and 61A on the west side.
